[Harp-L] Re: Harp-L] for hohner 270 deluxe owners, probably a small crew at most

Joe gives good advice regarding 270 comb maintenance. I would expand only
on the subject of removing the reedplates. A 270 comb can sometimes
warp if even only one reedplate is removed and left off for a time. When
removing a 270 reedplate for service, I immediately then clamp the comb
onto a flat piece of wood that is about 3/4" thick, using a spring clamp on
each end of the remaining reedplate. When overhauling a set of 270
reedplates, I remove both plates and then immediately clamp the comb
between two pieces of wood. This will prevent any warping.

Best regards,
Rick
