[Harp-L] Adjusting harmonica racks

This may be common knowledge, but I thought I'd toss it up in case it might
be of help for some.

The three adjustments to a harmonica rack necessary for a good fit are for
the offset, the height and the tilt of the harp relative to the mouth. All
racks can be adjusted for offset but only the more elaborate racks allow
for quick adjustment of height and tilt.

The Hohner HH01 rack was designed to allow for one-time height adjustment
with the help of two pairs of pliers. The tilt of the harp can also be
adjusted, but the procedure is a little more complicated; I've found it
best done using a machine vise. The Hohner HH154 rack and the K&M racks
have similar clamp units to the HH01; tilt for these models can be adjusted
in the same way as for the HH01. Once the desired height and tilt have
been set to the player's preference, no further adjustments should be
necessary.

I've uploaded a page describing the procedures here:

Rick
