Charlie Musselwhite was a player I heard in the early '70's.
I wrote him, off-the-wall, to tell him I liked his playing and he wrote back in a genuine, humble, insightful way and asked about gigs in Hawaii.
Years later I met him at a small show and he remembered my letter.
I had misplaced his letter and never wrote back (a personal story of a road not taken).
He has inspired me for his fine playing, endurance and professional attitude.
