Re: [Harp-L] Minor keyed harp 1988?

Hey, enjoyed Jimmy Z's playing on that song!
Probably playing a Lee Oskar natural minor A harp.

I bought my first Lee Oskar harp (Major Eb) at a SPAH convention, that I believe was 1985 when they first came out... so the Lee Oskar minor harps (natural minor and harmonic minor) probably came then or shortly after... and I bought several around then, and eventually a full set.

I bought a few Hohner Orchester minor harps before that (late 70's), and I believe these are "harmonic minor" harps... never owned a Hohner natural minor harp, so I'm not sure when they offered that minor tuning.

Oh yeah... I bought the Lee Oskar Eb harp so I could play "Fishin' Blues", inspired by Peter "Madcat" Ruth at a previous SPAH convention...  that Eb harp still plays great !

This is Jimmy Z playing with Tom Petty. As he himself says it´s in a minor key (obviously). To my ears it also sounds as if he´s playing a minor keyed harp. In 1988? Were they already out there?
