I love both of you; in an arms length sort of way :-)
Locally both Harpmasters and Bluesmasters are on the shelf for under $30 at
both major music stores. Both are good out of the box but with a little
extra work become top notch.
To see how gentle one can get away with playing, play minimally into a
dollar store mic plugged into a computer running audacity or other
recording software. Little need to strain the reeds after hearing the
result. Almost impossible to play too gently.
