Re: [Harp-L] Huang harps

I have had Huang harps and (I think) have one now and they all have or are been bad.  In my opinion they aren't very responsive nor bend very well.  I am also not crazy about the Big River harps, but they are five degrees (ten being the highest) than the Huang harps.  The one harp that is worst than the Huang harps are the Johnsons and they are seven to degrees worst the the Huang harps.

The only good thing I can say for the Huang harps is that Todd Parrott likes them.  And then I still have a problem with that.  Todd is over a hundred times better than me.  Todd is a professional.  Todd can make the crappiest piece of junk sound very, very good.

If you are looking for a decent but cheap harp check out the Suzuki Folkmaster.  I have one in Ab it's not great, however I like it a whole lot more than the Big Rivers.

What do you guys think of these harps? Are they good for practice? Is this a good way to save your better harps for gigs?
I have been using Big River harps for practice. Just wondering about Huang harps. Thanks for input on this.
