In my personal experience, it stops conversation in a bar...people turn toward the stage....most heard comment "I never knew a harmonica could sound like that".
One check mark on the plus side....
but what happens when a good harp player comes in the house and do his
thing......????!!!

Because,they know what their girlfriends or wifies are thinking about of what
we can do with our tongues.............as simple as that!
Besides that i really agree with Richard Hunter on the effects....its a
different ball game now if you have musicallity and know what to do with thouse
things....
also i agree with the people that say that normally its hard to hear a harp
player that is not playing all over ,just soloing on top of everything.....
but what happens when a good harp player comes in the house and do his
thing......????!!!
