[Harp-L] combs made by plastic 3D "printer"

This evening I witnessed a 3D printer building up shapes, and immediately
wondered if this could be the answer to custom combs needing more than 2
dimensional sandwich cuts.

Whereas CNC cuts AWAY material, 3D printer ADDS material and can therefore
create precise interior chambers.

COMB MAKERS
Anyone try this yet? Certainly a possibility for 10-hole combs with a
recessed pocket for reed plates. Maybe even for chromatic combs with
individual channel shapes!

I will begin by photographing several combs, digitizing to wire-frame, then
solid modelling, and finally to the 3D printer. Appears to be a choice of
colors and hardness for the spool of plastic.
