An exercise I use with my students it to play..


"Follow the Yellow Brick Road" - the first 7 notes, which is simply up and down the diatonic scale to the fourth degree.


Start on 1 exhale..
Start on 1 inhale.
Start on 2 exhale.
Start on 2 inhale 2nd bend
Start on 2 inhale 1st bend.
Start on 2 inhale.
Start on 3 exhale.
Start on 3 inhale 3rd bend
Start on 3 inhale 2nd bend.
If you can do all these and make it sound like that tune snippet, you will have worked all those bends to pitch on the low end of the harmonica.
