[Harp-L] re: gone from dry mouth to slobbering like a st bernard

A real bummer. And you will get lots of "funny" replies to this, since drooling is so ... funny.
I have rarely played for any longer while without at least once having a harmonica clogged up by saliva, and it annoys me like a m/f.

Do you TB or lip purse? For me, things get considerably worse when I play octaves -- and that´s about as far as I go with tongue interaction -- and this has, as one of several reasons, kept me in the pucker dpt.
Otherwise I´m one of those who tend to lean forward while playing, and being observant there and reclining in the opposite direction or standing straight is a small but simple measure to help with the most dramatic floodings.

Cheers,
Martin

weird
Back when I stated playing, i'd have adrenaline dry mouth
Now that i'm a little more relaxed, i keep a water bottle handy to keep me
and the harps lubricated.
Only problem, (and it happens  with my D harp mostly) is through the solo ,
any more than maybe two minutes and i've got a mouthful of spit and no where
to put it, so i put break in where i can swallow and not drown, choke or
drool  like a st bernard.
This happen to anybody else?
Paul
