Re: [Harp-L] - RJ Mischo - Harmonica Collective Expert Guides

I also first made RJ's acquaintance when he was living in the Bay Area, and found him likable and approachable. After seeing him perform a number of times, I was impressed not only with the quality of his playing, but with his ability as a performer who could work his magic with an audience.

Getting notes to come out of the instrument is only the first step in the chain of making music. The following steps include applying that technique to styles of music, getting the sound to come out the way you want through amplification and effects, working with other musicians to create a performance, and then bringing that to an audience and getting them to like it. (and along the way, getting your harps to work better or work at all).

There are all subjects that we'll cover in detail at the Harmonica Collective, and RJ will be a strong contributor.

Got to know RJ when he lived in the Bay Area. He's a fine player and a
down to earth guy, one of those players who makes a strong impression on
the first note he plays. He's also willing to help people who ask for it.
