I haven't played through one of these. It's a terrific amp for guitar, a combination of tube power amp and modeled preamp, with 16 different modeled preamp settings.
At this point I'm really sold on amp modeling, and my preferred setup is a Digitech RP355 with a Peavey keyboard amp, as opposed to a tube amp. However, at its price point, for a more traditional setup that allows you to take advantage of modeling technology for more variety in the sound than most straight-up tube amps could give you, the Superchamp XD is pretty interesting.
