I just tried it on a chromatic and had no problem sounding the individual
reeds with just my tongue against the reedplate.  The only bad thing was
that this harp is about 30 years old, has probably never been played for the
last 25 years, and has never been disassembled.  I'm still trying to get the
rank taste out of my mouth
