It was brought to my attention by a friend, that I appeared, to those who make logical deductions, to unwittingly take exception to PT's pitch on his custom-made, self-invented half-valved non-chromatic harmonica machine
That was certainly not my intention.... I was brought to his playing when someone told me he thought my playing sounded like a chromatic player's version of PT's diatonic playing... I listened to it and he was right.
I bought a couple of his instruments, and half valved a set of golden melodies, and worked on them a bit... and then realized that at my age, I don't have time to meet my musical standards on them while working on the chromatic, so put them aside for a later time....
I'm sending PT a certificate, suitable for framing, attesting to his musicality, which includes pitch.
Forgive me, I'm one of those snotty, mostly-retired studio musicians who can play but can't think all that clearly.
