Re: [Harp-L] Feeler gauge

You can check Autozone.com for various feeler gauges.... a brick & mortar store may not have all the ones listed on the website.

But in general, the more blades the better, if you are looking for the thinnest blades, like for embossing purposes and sliding between the reed and its reed slot to clear any burrs.

The 26-blade one has a mininum thickness of .0015 inches, where the 22-blade is .004 inches.

Also good to have the removeable round thumb nut to remove the ones you want to use... I've seen some that have a big rivet that has to be ground off.

Subject: [Harp-L] Feeler gauge

I just have a quick question. The feeler gauge, I have to work on my harmonicas
is old and starting to fall apart. Do the standard ones sold in auto supply
stores have thin enough feelers for working on harmonicas. Does anyone know of
an inexpensive one to buy? Thanks for any advice given
