For years I have sought the crunchy blues tone from a Green bullet mic and
Pro Junior tube amp, changing speaker and power transformer and some
capacitors, a la Bill Machrone (Billm), and including lots of tube swaps
and testing.
Came pretty close, too. Liked it.
Now I want to go the other way:
Using an RP355 and will soon be on the Audix Fireball V mic.
How CLEAN can I get my amp to sound? Which tube combos will take me in that
direction?
