as well.

For Irish music G and D cover nearly everything in O'Neil's 1001. 

If you want to get into the Scottish stuff, A will be handy as well.

If you are a "first position junkie" (and I have to admit that I am inclined
to be one) A Seydel Sampler in G/D is a (slightly) expensive option.
