I understand Winslow :)
The problem of distances is the same in Europe, like in french festivals, UK (Roger Trobridge and now Ben Hewlett who were both there knows a lot about it), Belgium (Annick Grégoire) etc... Some countries are lucky to have government to understand about the importance of culture and ready to help a bit the association. For example in Brasil (so south america) some artist get there flight paid to promote also the brasilian culture over the world.
We were very lucky then this year to have so many artists, not only from USA. Also that was a recognition of the importance of SPAH and a good sign (I hope) to tell how much his subject concerns so many countries... And all these artists so humble and generous in the sharing of their knowledge and experience...
Also it is very interresting to discover about new people, new talent or unknown...
Not much for example speak about Thierry Crommen from Belgium who is a so Great both Diatonic and Chromatic harmonica player... There lots of great players in Asia, but myself I would not be able to give more than 4 or 5 names including Koei ... So many to discover :)
I just hope that sharing all the experience from everywhere can help one to make the harmonica all kind (Tremolo, diatonic, chromatic, bass, chord etc...) more present and people who want to try not being alone, so the instrument does not remains for too long in the bottom of a drawer... or bring it too african school, because they really enjoy ;). For example Viola Barend from Netherlands goes every year to help african harmonica teachers to teach harmonica... (But if I start on the subject there is so much to say...also because harmonica and africa might bring a new style if not to influenced by occidental style of music...)
I am very curious to know about the program of next year (Maybe I come back...just if you have some good trick to come from France I guess through Paris/New york then local flight...I am interested)

In addition to Michel, we were favored this year with the presence and playing of Steve Baker, Koei Tanaka, Tomoya Ouchi, Filip Jers, Marko Balland, and Brendan Power. Next year we'll also have some artists from overseas, but I'll save that news for later.
