Here it is, Friday April 12, and I just got Tom Martin's message from April
9th. Anyway, Todd, you missed the best Blues Jam in New Orleans last night at
Mojitos on Frenchman. My band, 30X90 Women of blues, host the every Thursday
Blues Jam, and there are always a lot of harp players there, since I am
President of the Crescent City Harmonica Club. You even missed our Monthly
meeting and jam on the 10. Oh well!
This weekend is the French Quarter Festival, which is one of the biggest free
festivals in the country. Here is what I see at the festival that is remotely
harmonica related, that you have not already missed. At 7:30 tonight, at the
House of Blues is John Lisi and Delta Funk. This is the band that Jason Ricci
was playing with when he lived here. If I show up (questionable at this time) I
normally will wind up playing with him.
Saturday at 1:45 PM, at the Royal Street Stage is Washboard Chaz Trio, who has
Andy J. Forest on Harmonica. Andy is one of my favorite Harp Players here, and
anywhere, for that matter.
Sunday has Sunpie Barns and the Louisiana Sunspots at 1:00 at the Bienville
Statue stage on N. Peters. Sunpie plays Harmonica and Accordian.
Here is a full schedule:

I will probably be somewhere, though I never know where, or when.
Harvey
