Hey Gentlemen..My Pennyworth from UK !
I agree they're great and I used one for many years and still have it.It's a
vintage Beyer M69N with a Tuchel connector and it plays with great tone and
response. It's probably more mellow than a SM58 and with more bass for those that haven't tried one but still with plenty of output. I found it ideal for swing
chromatic as well as bluesey diatonic. I tried an M88 but it didn't seem to
cut it.
I wasn't as clever as you guys as I used to get feedback n stuff via a
small Art preamp so just went into the PA and then later via an active
speaker which beefed up the sound and also acted as monitor with xlr all the
way.
