I've studied the life of Louis Armstrong pretty extensively and I've never
heard of him playing the harmonica. He did record the song, so many that's
where the confusion arises,

According to this thread on SlideMeister (
http://www.slidemeister.com/forums/index.php?topic=474.0) , it was George
Fields on the movie soundtrack. Tommy Morgon must have played on someone's
version; I'm sure he talked about playing it in his 2009 SPAH seminar.

Blackie Schetner, or possibly Tommy Morgan?
Of course Louis Armstrong was a wonderful musician and (mostly) played
jazz cornet and trumpet plus of course a singer. I didn't know if he was
also
a chromatic harmonicist?
