Re: [Harp-L] The Future of Blues Harmonica?

I take a different view of the SUB30 (and XB40)

I don't feel either maker misrepresented their product, or promised more
than delivered. I think we hoped and believed each would be the
final answer to our search for the ultimate harp.

I am excited there is enough interest for companies to innovate and offer
new designs. The existence of customizer's work doesn't discredit the
harps; all harps can benefit from personal adjustments.

Evaluations posted by both Richard Sleigh and Elizabeth Hess were
thoughtful, specific, and rational. The large body of evidence of fine
players using stock harps of various brands points to the individual
player's skill, in spite of Out of the Box expectations.

It's an "off the rack" world. We don't see personal fit until the custom
tailor appears.
