Probably many names will come up, but a few off the top of my head include Rhubarb Red (Les Paul, who claims to have invented the rack and probably did but was not the first t do so), Gwen Foster, and Pie Plant Pete (Claude Moye) who was playing in a rack by the early 1920s. Harmonica "gimmick" booklets were showing neck racks by at least 1930.
