I've never aspired to being anymore than a straight ahead folk harmonica
player, (nor for that matter do I have the talent!). Years ago I took one
of Howard Levy's week long seminars in West Virginia, an amazing experience
and I adore his musicality, he's also just a nice generous guy. In my class
was a young Iceman and Carlos Del Junco along with a few other talented
guys. While they went home to the woodshed, I went home and did my level
best to forget, which I accomplished admirably ;-). My thing is just
stating sweet melodies, filling little holes where I can find them, but
mostly trying to make the band and singer sound great, and stepping up for
my solo if and when it comes around - what's better than that?
