Hi all,
First, Happy Thanksgiving to all the Americans on the list. I'm thankful for a lot of things this year--I hope you are too.
I played 3 gigs in Idaho with the Maw Band last week, and it inspired a post to my website:
http://www.hunterharp.com/when-you-open-the-door-to-a-new-sound-new-functions-walk-through/
The gist of it is this: when you've got a powerful multifx processor like a Digitech RP355 working for you, you can make sounds that no harp ever made before, and that drastically changes the role(s) that the harp can play in the band. I've included three live clips from a show in Pocatello ID on Nov. 17 in this post to illustrate the point, one of which is a full-length recording of Brian Maw's song "Buried in Me." Take a look and listen when you get the chance.
Thanks and regards, Richard Hunter
