Wow. This one looks totally homemade. Its single reedplate construction is consistent with other early 19th century American-made harmonicas. Interesting that it has 14 holes (alternating blow and draw).
 
The dating is entirely speculative, but it's intersting to see what resembles a harmonica as homegrown folk art.

I saw it and thought "there's another 10k Marine Band." BUT, I think this one is for real. It seems credible enough that I am considering not saying anymore 
"there were like no harmonicas in the Civil War." 
and replace it with
"there was probably at least one harmonica in the Civil War."
