Re: [Harp-L] Tongue Swishing?

Most players I've corresponded with seem to use the same technique as I do. It's the underside of the tongue against the harp, with the outer edge of the tongue meeting the upper lip. There
really isn't much movement at the front of the tongue; it's the back of the tongue that does all the shaking, and it's reflected in the slight movement at the front.
Hope that helps, but it probably won't!

This is a technique, along with tongue blocking, that continues to elude me. I simply cannot get my tongue to move side to side that rapidly. Back and forth is no problem, and I use it to create single hole trills and rapid blowbends. Just cannot seem to do the side motion or jaw warbles.

That is also tongue switching. It is just a slower version.
