We're working on some big fish for Thursday evening, but it's too soon to say anything.

Meanwhile, we'll be featuring Rupert Oysler playing acoustic earlier on Thursday evening and Cheryl Arena and her band on Friday afternoon. We're also planning an all acoustic blues hour on Friday afternoon with available players. No artists are confirmed at this point, but you can imagine some of the names from among the artists who regularly show at SPAH.

The pre-SPAH Blues Blowoff is a non-SPAH event that SPAH supports. This year it's being produced by Rob Roy Parnell, who will be providing the backing band. Rob Roy has secured a venue called the Hard Eight Bar B Q. No word yet on the lineup of featured harmonica players, but here's Rob Roy's note about the venue. Here's what Rob Roy has to say about the venue:

   So far we've had a peek at who the Celtic, jazz, and Cajun acts are
going to be at this year's convention.  Anybody care to disclose who the
blues performers will be?  Are we going to see somebody fresh?
