John, are you using a Hohner Blues Blaster with an XLR connector? if so, it came wired as high impedance output, unlike a standard XLR fitted mic that was most likely a Lo Impedance. High Impedance mic to that amp is fine. Not sure what other mic you could be describing as Shure never sold a mic called "Blues Blaster".

Hi all,
How much of a 'sin' is it to plug in a Shure blues blaster mic to a Music Man tube amp without using an impedance matching transformer (I realize it wouldn't really be considered a sin as much as it could possibly be considered poor practice). :-)
