Re: [Harp-L] Re: Boss Super overdrive pedal

I've never used one with Harp, only with guitar, but I found it a good unit to boost and thicken sound, particularly into valve preamps.  It's a fairly smooth overdrive, with relatively clean boost - it's not a metal dirtbox.  On guitar, I had mine set up for a lead/solo boost, and I wanted to lift my sound.

I am 80% certain John Popper used one in the 90's.  The SD-1, me
thinks.  I remember because I had just started playing and wanted
something to dirty up the sound of my harp straight to PA.  I was too
much of a newb to know if it worked well or not.  I think, even then,
I found just playing straight to PA to be the best option.  As a
matter of fact, I still use the same mic (now hacked into an Ultimate
57).  That was about 10yrs ago.

Thinking of giving it away to some needy youngster in the metal zone, but I´m not Santa Claus so any interesting use for the harp must be considered first.
