[Harp-L] RE: Audix Fireball... And other harp mics

John, I assume you  have an Audix Fireball as the newer Audix Fireball V comes with a volume control. First let me say that when I had the Fireball I was using the Greg Heumann external volume control with the impedance matching transformer built inside. MOST EXCELLENT work as usual by Greg. Second, Richard Hunter explains the the response of the Fireball V with the VC built in has a more harp friendly response.

Lately I have been using an Audix Fireball 5 as my main harmonica  mic...
It's ok.
But it is tiresome to have to use an impedance transformer to get the  best
out of a guitar amp!
Also it needs an "on/off" switch.....
