before you crack the case, and drop the resale value. put in JJ or better power tubes and try pairing it with a LONE WOLF HARP TONE EQ. I set mine a black 1999 model reverb 0, master 12, mid bass treable 0, volume 5 or above. use the pedal volume from there. I use a hot Turner crystal mic Dennis Olling(sp?) in KC setup for me
