"Well said, that's why I always say I am HARMONICA player even correct them when called a BLUES HARP player. One of the best things I did for my Blues playing is playing Bluegrass and Celtic music where being musically correct is more important than jam ability. This helped in getting respect from NON BLUES players, mostly the guitar hero's..."
 
Agreed. I love blues and love playing it too. But I play in a rock band, and I'm prepping to start playing in a country band as well. I've dabbled some in folk, Celtic and bluegrass, but again, these are very specific niches that don't have a major foothold in the mainstream listenership. Best to stay in genres that have a major following if harp is to gain any revived affinity.
