[Harp-L] Free Concert At Culver City Hal
Robert David Hall will be giving a free concert out in front of Culver City
Hall on August 2 at 7 PM. (That is when we go on.) I'll be playing harmonica.
The band is just incredible. Carl Verheyen (of Supertramp) on guitar, Craig
Eastman on mind-blowing fiddle, Dave Marotta on bass, Sinclair Lott on
drums, Matt Cartsonis on mandolin, Pat Colgan on guitar, and Judy Hall on
cello. Dave Hall is a tremendous entertainer, but even if he wasn't this
band'd be worth the effort to get there. I left the first rehearsal high as
a kite, not having smoked a thing. These are amazing musicians.
The show is free, though they're selling the first two rows for $10 apiece.
Call the number below if you're interested in close-up seats. This is a
very comfortable, relatively intimate outdoor venue no matter where you sit.
The Culver City City Hall Courtyard is located at 9770 Culver Blvd. in
Downtown Culver City (corner Culver Blvd. and Duquesne Ave.). Parking is
free underneath City Hall; additional parking is free for the first two
hours in designated structures in the Downtown area. The courtyard opens at
4:30 pm. No glass containers or alcoholic beverages may be brought into
City Hall Courtyard. For more information, call Boulevard Music 310-398-2583.
If you come to this show, be sure to introduce yourself to me after the show.
Best,
Ken
