Re: [Harp-L] Question about installing Hammond covers on Manji

Tuning is one of the easiest of the harp tweaks, save for possibly gapping. Get a good tuner, one that can set the frequency up or down, (I set mine to 442), and start very slowly on filing the tip of the well supported reed if your reed is flat. A little filing goes a long way.

The 8 may be a goner, you can always try retuning, but many times this is
the first sign of a crack that ends the life of the reed.
There are holes in the middle of the Manji (and one assumes, the
Olive--wonder if it has the front holes too?) for mounting the alternative
covers.
