The VHT is indeed a nice amp...
here you can see and hear me using a unmodded VHT. As you can see I use different cupping techniques during my solo. That's what is most important when you want to make any amp sound good.
The mic I'm using is a Blowsmeaway wooden shell with a vintage Shure controlled magnetic element.
