Sean, I'm a country/bluegrass harp player. I just played along with
the Jerry Reed video and found it completely playable on a standard
Marine Band-type harmonica. That, in my opinion, is the ideal tuning
for this song in 2nd position.
Others may recommend nonstandard tunings, but for this song that will
only complicate things. Standard tuning is the way to go for this
song.
