One only needs to go back to the original post in this thread entitled
"Amp and mic pairing from  blows me away dot com " for an object lesson in
how to manage a post of this sort without even getting close to a line let
alone crossing over it.  To Brian I say brilliantly played sir.  With the
change of the subject to Invest In America Brian's intent and post were
hijacked and to no good end I'm afraid.  I liked that first post because
it paints so neatly within the lines of the harp-l group's posting
guidelines.  The followups while not over the line are certainly an
enticement to others to cross one.  Not so much because they're enticing
but more because historically there has been a certain lack of discretion
on this list.  Maybe we're past that?  One can only hope but in any case
consider that the warning has been issued.

So to review, I like my amp and mic here are the reasons why, on topic and
not at all meta.  Where things are built and what are the working
conditions there, meta.  and here's the deal, meta begets meta.  Witness
my response.  Sorry about that folks but it's my job and yes life is not
at all fair.
