Toni, as far as keys played at SPAH blues jams, the most frequent keys
are the standards. E / A / G / C / D. You don't need a full kit to
"play the game". It really is nice to have a full set if possible
because every now and then a curve ball will come across the plate.
The occasional F & Bb will come out and you can definitely expect some
minor blues. The jams are also a great place to try "new positions".
Your ears will be full of great ideas from the other jammers. As I
always close on this subject: JAMS are supposed to be inviting and
FUN for all levels participating. SPAH blues jams are inviting and
fun! :-)
