Re: [Harp-L] best harmonica tracks?

My own top 5.
Of course it's difficult / nigh on impossible, what with so many to choose from.

Going for a cross selection of diatonic & chromatic I'll go for:

1. Walkin' By Myself: Walter Horton
2. Baby Please Don't Go: Muddy Waters with Little Walter playing. The first full-on electric blues harmonica that I loved!

3. Nowa: Greg Szlapczynski: showing true advancement in harmonica player while keeping to the roots of what the harmonica is good at

4. Summertime: Larry Adler (early recording, currently available on 'Stormy Weather' CD. Larry Adler recorded numerous versions of this song of course. This one has truly mesmerising tone. The only time I've heard a chromatic sound this way.) (chromatic)
5. Diga Diga Doo: Toots Thielemans: one of his less well known numbers. Great playing! (chromatic)

Oh, and about 100 more...

This has probably been done before, but what do people consider to be the best recorded harmonica tracks?
Always looking to build up my collection.

Don't just want to hear the usual Juke, Whammer Jammer, etc. I have all those, so would appreciate some of the slightly less known ones.
And not just blues.
Although that doesn't mean all the classics have to be excluded!

Perhaps a top 5.
