[Harp-L] Subject:What I'm Listening to Right now--includes Harmonica, or does it?

Listening to a Streisand Album: 'Christmas Memories'.

Have the liner notes in front of me.

First song is "I'll be Home for Christmas" with the original lead-in (my
first thought was to include it for Mike Fugazzi...so wanted to do a search
online to see if there'd be a YouTube of this version).

Found this: it's a youtuber's 'video' of the song (not badly done and the
best I could find with the music not mucked with):

I clearly hear the harmonica coming in so wanted to see who was the player
(given that Streisand's liner notes are usually impeccable about giving
credit.

This is what she writes: 'Special thanks to my good friend David Foster for
his time, generosity and musical brilliance (especially the great
"harmonica" solo)'.

Given that David Foster and his wife Linda Thompson (friends of Streisand)
co-wrote 'Grown Up Christmas List' (also on he album), and there's only
musical credit given generally for synsethizers/keyboards in the official
credits (Foster, I think plays keyboards)--I'm now not 100% sure if I actually
AM hearing harmonica although it seems completely unmistakable to my ears?

Can those of you with synth experience (Richard?) give this track a listen
for clarification? The album was in production and completed right after
9-11.

Thanks,

Elizabeth

PS: I would err on the side of giving Streisand credit of liking the sound
of harmonica since she hired Will Galison to redo his gorgeous playing on
Bagdad Cafe for her version of 'Calling You'. My main reason for
questioning is why she'd put harmonica in quotes.

PPS: the entire album is fabulous, btw. I'm not into Xmas music much--am
usually long since fed up with hearing it by now but am finding myself
enjoying listening to both this one and Peter White's 'Songs of the Season'.
Here're 2 tracks from that album..not harmonica related, but nice to listen to
this time of year.
