Roland Cube 30 Monitor (~$200). 3 channels. Amazing bass response from the small 6.5" speaker. Very portable. I use it on a floor tripod stand as a monitor w/ line-out to PA, on the tripod stand  w/o PA for low volume gigs or on a speaker stand (6 feet high) for greater projection in small venues
