Re: [Harp-L] lighted magnifier

Mama Cass (the live one) uses 2 'Dazor' lamps. One has a 6" lens with 3 florescent tubes mounted alongside and is 6.5 power. The mount is a pole into a heavy cast iron base that has a total weight of over 34 pounds. That's the one I use as my eyes are failing.

The smaller unit has a 6" lens with a twin bulb on a separate overhead gooseneck. It is 4 power. Neither has a ring bulb and I feel that these are the best. The light is on a light weight tube with a cement filled base. Weight is around 17 pounds.

If you're over 35 years of age, don't even DREAM of anything under 5-6 power. Oh, and high power will amplify any shaking I have in my heads. Which is getting substantial. lolol
