first thing i do is cut the highs down to 10-11 o'clock and boost the
bass to 1-2 o'clock. play the first tune and then adjust from there. I
usually keep the mids at 12:00 o'clock. Minimal effects until you get
the EQ comfortable. Then blend them in with care. Sometimes they will
require some adjustment in the EQ as well.
