staying in tune and high notes going flat are directly proportional to amount of force used when playing.
some with tuning issues have found success in rethinking their orientation to the harmonica and learning to breathe through it rather than suck and blow.
I like Lee Oskars, Special 20 and Golden Melodies out of the box.
