People don't really change.  I've been hosting and coordinating jams for decades, and the musician that plays too damned loud generally always will, and will ignore all pleas to turn down.  Whether it's ego, deafness, ignorance, or habit, it signifies a lack of concern for the fellow players, and of course the audience.   Even if the player's deaf.

Stay away from this guy's flea circus!
