I soak my harps in 99% alcohol since i can remember on a regular basis.  You can special order the 99% Alcohol at your drug store. Until then you can get 91% at the drug store. Alcohol evaporates quickly so it doesn't seem to rust like water, I soak plastic harps for 20 minutes and wood for about a minute....................Dane Paul
