[Harp-L] Solo tuned Diatonics in keys other than C

A solo tuned harmonica in G would be ideal for Irish traditional Music
sessions.

I bought one from Seydel and despite misfortunate failure of a few G reeds
will probably buy another. 

As you remark the Seydels are a bit on the pricey side and if you come
across any alternatives I would like to know about them.

If G is a key you could use, you  might be interested to know that Seydel
can offer their Standard Chromatic in this key at a price about  the same as
the 12 hole solo tuned Solist. 

I use one of these as my regular  "session workhorse". It is a bit 'windy'
as you might expect from a valveless chromatic, but has the advantage that
you can easily play in D and A if required.
