Wow. It cool here too. Tonite's temp is predicted to be the coldest of the year - 65! (high of only 74).
Btw, Charlie is said to play 16 diff. instruments and as I'm sure u know, plays bass so well that he played bass on many many studio sessions (including all of the albums Dylan recorded in Nashville). It's said (I heard second hand from Charlie himself, on Harp-L) that as he got older, the Nashville record company suits replaced him with a younger (prettier) harp player (imo, evidence shows Chet Atkins' protege Terry McMillan). And the music suffered, for sure. I cringe when i hear Terry trying to play Charlie's licks, altho in fairness to him, he WAS a decent harp player. Now the top Nashville harp cat is Jellyroll Johnson. But they sure don't feature harp in new music today the way they did when Charlie was king.
