Re: [Harp-L] mixing brands

I have mixed set of harps. And I tired of it. I used Golden Melodies
for years, I like response and tone. But I tired of retuning them. Now
I started to play Seydel 1847 and I still don't have all keys, so C,
D, G, Bb, LF are 1847, all flats are GM's. Now I'm not comfortable
with switching harps, and I hate when I have to play some odd key. I
also not comfortable with GM's I customized different years. My recent
work is perfect for me. My 2 years ago worked harps are not embossed
good and gapped too tight to get all overbends, but reeds sticks, my 3
years ago work embossed not good enough and have weak OB response. I
have about 90 harps, but I'm comlpetely happy with 3 of them and
almost happy with 3 more. Other needs some sort of recustomizing, but
I have no time as I work on orders for my customers.
